Engine & Emissions
Technology
The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and
CARB (California Air Resources Board) recognize
Exova’s engine and emissions test facilities, as a
laboratory capable of conducting both the U.S.
Federal Test Procedure (FTP) as well as off-road
emission certification. The engine group routinely
conducts engine emissions tests to US & European
standards. Furthermore, Exova has participated
in several correlation programs with engine
OEMs and the U.S. EMA (Engine Manufacturer’s
Association). The engine tests are accredited to the
ISO17025 requirements. Engine and emission tests
are increasingly important considering today’s
environmental issues. Exova’s engine business
is based upon long-standing experience with
heavy, medium and light duty diesel, gasoline and
alternative fueled engines.
Engine and Emission Testing Capabilities
The Engine & Emissions Technology group has the
capability to perform a wide variety of tests:
Engine development: performance, fuel systems,
combustion, and emissions calibration
Emissions development: exhaust aftertreatment
systems (DPF, LNT, SCR, etc.)
Emissions Certification to US & European
standards
Engine durability and production audit testing
