TAMPA, Fla.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Rosetta Technologies, a leading provider of MICR printers and
check and Image Replacement Document (IRD) software solutions, announced today that ESSA Bank & Trust, a
community bank with 13 offices in and around the Pocono, Pennsylvania area, has chosen Rosetta’s IRDPrint™
Advanced Returns software solution. IRDPrint Advanced Returns allows ESSA Bank to automatically convert in-
clearing returns into personalized customer letters that merge the explanation of charges and legal rights with a tear-
off return IRD in one complete document.
Due to the Federal Reserve Bank’s restructuring plan making Cleveland their sole printing facility, ESSA Bank was
facing hundreds of dollars per month in courier fees and return item processing delays that could put them at risk for
high dollar items coming off hold prematurely without recourse. They needed a solution that would allow them to
receive electronic cash letters and print IRDs on-site. IRDPrint Advanced Returns has allowed ESSA Bank to cut
their return item processing time from over 72 hours to less than one day.
ESSA Bank was also looking for a way to make their customer notifications more professional and better portray
ESSA Bank’s high quality standards. The merged return letter IRDs produced by IRDPrint Advanced Returns
eliminate the cost and hassle of match-and-attach errors. They also provide the depositor with information on why an
item was returned and whether it can be re-deposited, both of which had to be manually produced prior to
conversion to IRDPrint Advanced Returns.
“After researching a number of MICR printer and IRD printing software companies, it was clear that Rosetta
Technologies was the only company that could provide us with an affordable end-to-end solution,” said Sherry
