SAN DIEGO COUNTY TREASURER-TAX COLLECTOR
NOTICE OF IMPENDING POWER TO SELL TAX-DEFAULTED PROPERTY
Made pursuant to Section 3361-3364, Revenue and Taxation Code
Notice is hereby given that real property taxes and assessments on the parcels described
below will have been defaulted five or more years, or in the case of property on which a
nuisance abatement lien has been recorded, three or more years. The parcels listed will
become subject to the Treasurer-Tax Collector's power to sell on July 1, 2004 at 12:01 a.m.
by operation of law. The Treasurer-Tax Collector's Power to Sell will arise unless the property
is either redeemed or made subject to an installment plan of redemption initiated as provided
by law prior to 5:00 p.m. on June 30, 2004. The right to an installment plan terminates on
June 30, 2004, and, after that date, the entire balance due must be paid in full to prevent sale
of the property at public auction.
The unpaid amount, in dollars and cents, for which each property was originally declared to
be tax-defaulted does not include the additional defaulted taxes, penalties and fees that have
accrued since the date of tax-default. The right of redemption survives the property becoming
subject to the power to sell, but it terminates at 5:00 p.m., close of business, on the last
business day before the sale by the Treasurer-Tax Collector. Parcels not sold at the
scheduled tax sale may be re-offered for sale within a 90-day period.
All information concerning redemption or the initiation of an installment plan of redemption
will be furnished, upon request, by Dan McAllister, San Diego County Treasurer-Tax
Collector with offices located in SAN DIEGO at 1600 Pacific Highway, Rm 162, San Diego, CA
