CITY COMMENCES COLLECTION OF MISCELLANEOUS PAPER
In order to reduce the City’s garbage incineration costs and to utilize the current final garbage disposal site for as long as
possible, we need to make more of an effort to recycle. Accordingly, the City of Iruma will commence collecting
‘miscellaneous paper’ as a new category of separated garbage for recycling.
‘Miscellaneous paper’ means paper that is not newspaper, magazines, corrugated board or milk cartons which are
already categories for paper recycling. Miscellaneous paper will be collected on the same day as newspapers and
old clothes. Place miscellaneous paper separately into a paper bag or other bag. Do not include it in your bundle of
newspapers, corrugated board or milk cartons.
Examples of Miscellaneous Paper
Notebooks, paper or cardboard tissue boxes (remove the plastic slot), wrapping paper, paper bags (remove the vinyl-coated handles),
candy cartons, envelopes (remove the plastic at the address window), paper cores of toilet rolls and kitchen wrap rolls.
Papers Not Collected (Dispose of as Burnable Garbage)
Thermal paper, photos, paper cups and plates, aluminum-coated paper (such as the lid from cup noodles), shredded paper, water-proof
paper, paper on which crayons were used. Inquiries: General Clean Center (2934-5546)
