About PACT
Employers’ Smoking Cessation Guide: Practical Approaches to a Costly Workplace Problem was
developed by PACT (Professional Assisted Cessation Therapy), whose members collaborate in the creation
and dissemination of educational materials with the aim of motivating healthcare professionals in all
disciplinary areas to promote smoking cessation and empower patients to quit.
PACT is supported by an unrestricted educational grant from GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Inc.
and is administered by Amicia Inc., a non-profit corporation dedicated to professional health education.
