Eligibility:
Students in grades 3-12 in Desoto, Hardee, Hernando,
Highlands, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk,
and Sarasota Counties
Criteria:
The student essays are judged on the following criteria:
• Demonstration of an understanding of the U.S.
Free Enterprise System as it relates to the
specific topic
• Demonstration of writing skills appropriate to
the grade level of the student
• Creativity and originality
Judging:
A committee of judges will select the winning entries.
The judges will be business and education leaders in the
Greater Tampa Bay area.
How to Enter:
• The
entry
form
accompanying
this
announcement must
be
completed
and
submitted with the essay. Additional forms may
be copied or obtained from the USF Stavros
Center by calling 813/974-2175.
• Entry forms must be signed by a private or
public school teacher working with the student
during the 2007-2008 school year.
