CCA Names New Operations Managing Director
Lane Blair, veteran corrections professional, appointed to CCA post
Nashville, TN (Vocus) March 22, 2010 -- CCA has named Lane Blair as managing director, Operations, for one
of its six operational divisions. In his role, Blair will oversee facility operations for 10 CCA facilities in seven
states that currently operate on behalf of the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the State of Colorado.
A corrections professional with more than 20 years of experience, Blair replaces Ron Thompson, who was named
vice president, Operations, in January 2010. Blair currently has served as warden of CCA's Diamondback
Correctional Facility in Watonga, Okla., since 2004.
"Lane has a breadth and depth of operational experience with both CCA and a state correctional system, and he
has worked throughout his career mentoring young corrections professionals," said Rick Seiter, CCA executive
vice president and chief corrections officer.
Blair joined CCA in 1995 and has served as warden of two other CCA facilities, North Fork Correctional Facility
in Sayre, Okla., and Torrance County Detention Facility in Estancia, New Mexico. Blair has held a diverse range
of administrative and operational roles at several CCA facilities, including shift supervisor, training manager,
chief of security and assistant warden. He began his career as a correctional officer with the Texas Department of
Criminal Justice, where he served for six years.
Blair is a member of the American Correctional Association and the North American Association of Wardens
and Superintendents.
“I am honored to be appointed to this position,” Blair said. “I look forward to working with our CCA facilities in
my Division and our valuable government partners to provide the innovative, flexible and cost-effective
corrections services that are the foundation of CCA partnership.”
