2.5 Elective Credits
Prerequisites: Available to any Arcadia High School student who will be 15 years old
by the first day of class. Date of birth will be verified.
The course in Drivers Education emphasizes the importance of attitude on the part
of both driver and pedestrian. The course includes discussions about the importance of the
physical, cultural and natural forces that affect driving and the reasons for understanding and
obeying traffic laws. Also covered in this course are the issues of insurance, automobile
maintenance, and related topics. In compliance with the vehicle code, students satisfactorily
completing the course will be issued a Certificate of Completion of Classroom Driver Education.
The course is limited to 32 students.

Arcadia, CA 91007 or drop it off at the AEF desk located inside the school district office.
Registration must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29.
The Arcadia Educational Foundation Program employs fully credentialed teachers in the subject
area of Drivers Education and Accident Prevention.

CLASS WILL BE CANCELLED IF MINIMUM ENROLLMENT IS NOT MET.
Due to the constraints of the program and the state requirements, no absences are allowed
for this class. Any missed course work from an excused absence must be completed
