Beltrami County Timber Auction Official Notice and Bidding Regulations and Guidelines

Thursday, April 3, 2008 – 9:00 a.m. – Oral Bid Auction – Northern Town Hall
Notice is hereby given that timber will be offered for sealed bid, pursuant to the provisions of
Minnesota Statutes 282.04, Chapter 355, Laws of 1941, on tax forfeited lands. Sealed bids will
be accepted in this Department (505 Bemidji Avenue north, Bemidji MN, 56601) until 4:00 p.m.
on April 2, 2008 and oral bids at 9:00 a.m. on April 3, 2008, at Northern Town Hall in Bemidji,
Minnesota as identified in this publication. Timber will be sold to the highest bidder at not less
than the appraised value, and in conformity with forest practices as outlined on the appraisal.
Bidding will be on a percentage basis and the percentage increase shall apply to all products not
exempted on the sale. Bidding process will be determined by the Beltrami County Board.
Bidders must register with Beltrami County Natural Resource Management. Registration is
due by the Monday prior to auction to be eligible to bid.
Bids will not be accepted by any individual having a timber trespass, delinquent or
uncollectible timber sale account with any county, state or federal agency, or from any bidder
involved in a pending timber trespass case with any county, state or federal agency by the
