SALT LAKE CITY--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--The Utah Technology Council (UTC)
(www.utahtech.org) is pleased to announce that John T. Chambers, chairman and chief executive officer of Cisco,
will address the 2010 Hall of Fame gala. The black-tie event will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010, in the Grand
Ballroom of the Grand America Hotel, Salt Lake City.
Technology companies are leading the economic comeback. Cisco, under the leadership of Chambers, recently
announced record quarterly profits and revenue, as well as plans to add as many as 3,000 new employees in the
coming quarters. Cisco recently acquired video conferencing company Tandberg as part of its greater video strategy
and sees this as an opportunity to offer its customers video based communications solutions that range from the
desktop to the boardroom.
“Having John Chambers speak at our annual Hall of Fame celebration is a great opportunity to hear from one of the
great business leaders of our time,” said Richard R. Nelson, president and CEO of the UTC. “Anyone interested in
technology in the state of Utah will want to be at this event!”
