1(a) SUPER POSITION THEOREM
AIM : To verify the Super position theorem.
APPARATUS :
1. Regulated Power Supply – 2 No.
2. Resistances – 250Ω, 220Ω, 150 Ω
3. Ammeter – (0-100)mA – 1No.
THEORY :
Superposition theorem states that in a linear bilateral network containing more
than one source, the current through any point or the voltage across any element is equal
to the algebraic sum of all the currents or voltages when each source is considered
separately with all the other sources replaced by their internal impedances. i.e. In any
linear bilateral circuit with more number of sources each source acts independently.
In the above given example, according to the theorem I = I1 + I2
Where I1 = Current with source V1 alone
I2 = Current with source V2 alone
I = Current with sources V1 and V2 acting simultaneously
