LA VESTAGLIETTA – THE STAR AT TOUCH!, NEOZONE AND CLOUDNINE
A PITTI IMMAGINE EXHIBITION CURATED BY ELDA DANESE AND MARIA LUISA
in cooperation with A.N.G.E.L.O.
Touch! Pavilion - via Tortona 54
Touch!, neoZone and cloudnine will be hosting a tribute to the “wrap dress”: a dress with a versatile
identity, for household chores, worn by farmwives every day but Sunday, the perfect little frock for sunny
summer days and now a cult item in many designers’ collections. “La Vestaglietta” is an exhibit curated
by Elda Danese and Maria Luisa Frisa, that will be held at Touch!, in the former Ansaldo facility on Via
The exhibit features a selection of wrap dresses from the A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage Palace archives:
from historical items by the most famous names in fashion – like Ken Scott, Hermès,
Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent - to dresses by leading contemporary designers such as Diane
von Furstenberg who made the little wrap dress her signature item. A montage of illustrations,
photos and stills from famous films featuring celebrities that have contributed to building its image,
adds a fascinating touch to the exhibit.
Other stars of the exhibit, on the huge wallpaper backdrop for the clothes, are images and text from the
book La Vestaglietta by Elda Danese.
- LA VESTAGLIETTA ON AUCTION! Visitors to Touch!, neoZone and cloudnine will have the
opportunity to bid for the dresses on display – they will go to the highest bid received during four
days of the shows.
