missing a great opportunity. Email marketing is a direct marketing technique that allows you to
communicate to a broad customer base. Even though the term could loosely be interpreted to mean
any email in which you send to a customer, the term usually refers to bulk email marketing. It comes in
4 basic forms: emails sent to improve an already existent customer/merchant relationship, emails sent
in order to reach new people and gain new customers, emails that contain advertisements for affiliated

There are many advantages and disadvantages to email marketing. The main reason is that
companies that use it can reach a huge audience at very little cost. In fact, it is cheaper than most, if
not all other forms of marketing such as direct mail and printed fliers. Email marketing is also one of the
few marketing methods in which you can track your return on investment. This is mainly due to the use
of email marketing software. Internet marketing emails also can be sent out instantly as opposed to
other methods that may take days to reach their destination.
