SECTION I: PREAMBLE
Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) will be conducting Pakistan’s first professional exit
examination – National Licensing Examination (NLE) at a national level. This examination is
being held based on section 20 of the Pakistan Medical Commission Act No XXXIII of 2020.
As per section 13 (d) of the PMC Act, the National Medical and Dental Academic Board has
developed the structure and standards of the National Licensing Examination (NLE) 2021. A needs
assessment was carried out and an examination designed, with appropriate emphasis on
psychomotor skills evaluation.
SECTION II: FORMAT AND STRUCTURE OF THE DENTAL NLE 2021
The Dental National Licensing Examination (NLE) 2021 has been designed under PMC ACT
Section 20. It has been developed and will be administered to gauge the ability of BDS graduates’
competence to practice independently. P
