DELCAMBRE POLICE STATION TO BE RENOVATED

Present Grant Funds for Renovation
DELCAMBRE, August 30, 2007 – Congressman Charlie Melancon joined USDA
Rural Development State Director Clyde Holloway today in Delcambre to present $53,000
in USDA Rural Development grant funds to the Town of Delcambre for renovation of the
Delcambre Police Station.
“During the hurricanes of 2005, the Delcambre Police Station was flooded and
heavily damaged,” said Holloway. “I am pleased USDA Rural Development is a part of
Delcambre’s recovery—and I look forward to seeing the police station when construction
Renovations will include adding six inches of cement to the existing slab,
sheetrock walls, and a new floor covering, in addition to construction of a new asphalt
parking lot with a drive-through window.
