Trade Event in Chile to Showcase U.S. Technology & Services in Support of Chile’s Recovery
and Rebuilding Program
(PRWEB) April 16, 2010 -- In cooperation with the U.S. Embassy, Chilean AmCham and U.S. Department of
Commerce and with the recognition of the Government of Chile, Kallman Worldwide, Inc. is pleased to announce
today the launch of an innovative trade exhibition dedicated to the support of Chile’s recovery and rebuilding
program. Aptly named REBUILD CHILE EXPO, this exhibition and conference will provide a business forum
where Chilean government and private sector officials involved with the ongoing recovery and reconstruction
efforts can meet face-to-face with U.S. suppliers who have technology, service and product solutions to offer.
This initiative, which was fleshed out after a meeting on April 12, 2010 with Chilean President Piñera, Commerce
Secretary Gary Locke and a group of corporate CEOs interested in the reconstruction of Chile, will be held in
Santiago, Chile at the Espacio Riesco on June 15-17, 2010. According to Secretary Locke, “We consider Chile an
important friend and trading partner…Not only do we have an important role to play in helping Chile recover, we
have great opportunities for American businesses to put people to work.” Although the trade show will serve as
the centerpiece of the event, the expo will also include a series of concurrent presentations focused on solutions
for the immediate and longer term needs of Chile.
The primary visitors for REBUILD CHILE EXPO will be the government officials at the national, regional, and
municipal level who are charged with planning and implementing Chile’s recovery and rebuilding effort. A
further group of visitors will be drawn from the ranks of businesses and investment facilitators looking for
