The EXAMVIEW® Learning Series (Learning Series) is a collection of unique, high-quality questions specifically aligned to the Connecticut
Curriculum Standards. The Learning Series works in concert with EXAMVIEW® Assessment Suite—the industry’s leading classroom assessment
tool—to produce study guides, worksheets, and formative assessments to help instructors review, reteach, reinforce, and supplement standards-
based instruction.
EXAMVIEW® Learning Series questions are aligned to only one standard, ensuring the strongest possible alignment to the Connecticut
Curriculum Standards.
LANGUAGE SKILLS. The Learning Series language arts questions are aligned to the 2008 Grade Level Expectations. For grades 2–8,
questions are organized by the Writing category.
MATH. The Learning Series math questions for grades 3–8 are aligned to the 2008 Grade Level Expectations and questions for grades 9-12
are aligned to the 2005 Curriculum Frameworks. All questions are organized by the following strands: Algebraic Reasoning: Patterns and
Functions, Geometry and Measurement, Numerical and Proportional Reasoning, and Working with Data: Probability and Statistics.
READING. Aligned to the 2008 Grade Level Expectations for grades 3–8 and the 2006 Curriculum Frameworks for grades 9–12, Learning
Series reading questions for grades 3–12 are organized according to reading passage. Reading passages include cross-curricular reading
selections with questions designed to assess higher-order thinking skills. Each reading passage offers multiple questions that correspond to
that passage.
SCIENCE. The Learning Series science questions are aligned to the 2009 Grade Level Expectations for grades 2-8 and the 2005 Curriculum
Frameworks for grades 9-12. Learning Series science questions for grades 2–8 are organized by the following strands: Earth in the Solar
System (grades 2-5 and 8), Energy in the Earth’s Systems (except grade 8),
