Looking Over the Prospect of Hosting the 2020 Olympics
2020年オリンピック招致を検討しています（P1）
The Cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are looking to hold a “Peace Festival” with other supporting
cities to celebrate the realization of the total abolition of nuclear weapons.
The Cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are working to have the total abolition of nuclear weapons
achieved by the year 2020; and to mark the occasion with the world and all of the peoples of the
world, we wish to host the 2020 Olympics. A review committee has been formed to look into the
possibility of allowing multiple cities to bid for and host the 2020 Olympic Games.
As we progress with our investigation, we would like to hear the many opinions of our citizens.
Please send opinions by post or fax. Include your name and address along with your thoughts on
the Olympic bid (anonymous letters will be accepted), and send them to Shiyakusho Olympic Shochi
Kento Iinkai Jimukyoku (City Hall’s Olympic Bid Review Committee Department).
