RESULTS OF THE JULY 2008 ARIZONA BAR EXAMINATION
The July 2008 Arizona bar examination was held July 29 and 30, 2008 in Tucson. There were
723 applicants, of whom 596 achieved passing scores. The overall pass rate was 82.4 percent.
The following individuals received the highest scores on the examination:
Jason Michael Porter; Tempe, Arizona placed first;
a 2008 graduate of Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law
Kathleen Erin Brody O’Meara; Phoenix, Arizona placed second;
a 2007 graduate of University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law
Celene Nicole Sheppard; Scottsdale, Arizona placed third;
a 2008 graduate of University of Colorado Law School.
Applicants who have met all examination and character and fitness requirements have been
recommended for admission to the practice of law in Arizona. Applicants still completing
requirements will be recommended for admission at a later date.
