ACADEMIC UNITS AND SALARY INCREASES
Academic Credit at UCSC Extension
Extension courses numbered X300 through X399 are
designated as professional courses in education. Courses
in this series have been approved by the Education
Department on the UCSC campus and, when required,
approved by the California Commission on Teacher
Credentialing (CCTC). Courses with XSC numbers are
UCSC courses.

Development (CLAD) course work is no longer offered.
The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
(CCTC) adopted new Standards of Quality and Effective-
ness for the California Teachers of English Learners
