ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS'
The audio-visual microprocessor nurse-call system(s)
shall be Alpha Communications®/Tektone NC300II se-
ries, or approved equal. At each of the central equipment
locations, contractor shall furnish and install the model
NC351A (256 unit/4 master capacity plus serial/printer
port) or NC351A/2 (512 unit/8 master capacity plus serial/
printer port) central processing equipment (CPE). When
using the NC351A/2 CPE, contractor shall furnish and
install the PK305A auxiliary power supply as well.
At each of the main nurse's location, contractor shall
furnish and install one (1) model NC304 (or NC304LCD
with 2-line LCD display) master station, along with its
associated NC315 monitor. Contractor shall furnish and
install all other required system components, as needed
for each particular system.
Contractor shall furnish and install the model PC-25 unin-
terrupted power supply (for each CPE) where required.
System shall be U.L. listed 1069 to the latest standards.
Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical
and building codes.
NC351A and NC351A/2 Central
Processing Equipment (CPE)
A major component of the NC300II series microprocessor-
based audio-visual nurse-call system, the Alpha Commu-
nications® NC351A and NC351A/2 CPE's supply the
central equipment point for system component integra-
tion. The NC351A supports up to 4 master consoles and
256 addressable stations, while the NC351A/2 supports up
to 8 master consoles and 512 addressable stations. The
NC351A and NC351A/2 house the necessary firmware to
operate all the NC300II System functions. From a single
