Congratulations on your employment with the State of Nevada. You
have joined a team of over 17,000 employees who work in our State
government offices and agencies. The Governor’s Office and the
Department of Personnel appreciate and support the efforts of all State
employees and acknowledge that it is through your personal

citizens of our wonderful State.
As a civil servant, you have unique duties and responsibilities related
to your new position. The State of Nevada Employee Handbook is
designed to serve as an overview of the personnel rules to help you
understand important rights, responsibilities, benefits, and services
you have as a State employee. Should you have specific questions
regarding any topic in this handbook, you are encouraged to contact
your agency personnel office or the Department of Personnel.
