Delete Duplicate MP3s and Unused Files on windows XP,Vista or 7
By: K. Douglas
So you want to get more space on your hard disk without deleting you movies,
music or files? The truth is that you can do some of these things manually.
However, you might want to automate this. So which files can you delete
without corrupting your system?
You can delete all “*.tmp files” safely. You can search for them with windows
explorer and clear them out. Clearing the cache, deleting program data and the
roaming folder might not be enough to get lots of free space.
If you download lots of music, like me, you often find that you have duplicate
MP3 files. The names are different and the song might be a little bit different too
(bitrate, volume, etc). If you delet these duplicate files you can free up lots of
space. I’m talking about multiple gigabytes.
Unfortunately, if you do this manually you are busy whole week. You can
definitely free up some hard space by deleting temporary files, cache files and
by disabling the windows page file. However, it is much safer, faster and more
convenient to get a system optimizer too to do this for you.
By now, you should know that windows can be a very complex system. If you
delete files or don’t fully understand what they do, you can corrupt your system
easily. Best is to invest into a system optimizer tool that has the time and
resources to always ensure a safe fix.
Do you want to fix this automatically by now? Do you want a system optimizer
that will do the job safe, fast and thoroughly for you? You should take a look at
