Hotel and Restaurant Deals Highlight Renowned Exhibit, Back in San Francisco After 30 Years
San Francisco, CA (Vocus) June 22, 2009 -- Joie de Vivre, California's largest boutique hotel collection, is
partnering with San Francisco's de Young Museum to offer Explore Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the
Pharoahs packages and special restaurant offers starting June 27, 2009 at its 21 San Francisco Bay Area hotels.
The packages will be available until the close of the exhibit March 28, 2010.
It's been three decades since the first record-breaking King Tut exhibition at the de Young. To celebrate the
return of the renowned treasures to San Francisco, Joie de Vivre is offering two art packages tailored to
individuals and families. The packages include best available rates for standard rooms and family suites and
exclusive access VIP tickets to the Explore Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharoahs exhibit. These
unrestricted VIP tickets are not available to the general public and allow visitors to view the exhibit even when it
is sold out.
In addition, Joie de Vivre is partnering with the de Young to offer Tut ticket holders exclusive deals at a number
of its popular San Francisco restaurants. The restaurant deals will be offered via a "Pharoah's Gold Card" issued
with each ticket purchase. The card offers discounts and special offers at Northern California businesses.
Participating Joie de Vivre restaurants will include Americano Restaurant and Bar, Café Andrée, O Izakaya,
Swank Cocktail Club, Custom Burger, Good Pizza, and midi.
Joie de Vivre's 16 hotels in San Francisco, two in the East Bay (Oakland and Berkeley), and three in Marin (Mill
Valley and Tiburon) are offering the Explore Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharoahs package. Starting
prices vary depending on the hotel and date selected, and range from $79 to $249 per night. For more information
