CIG Supports Haiti Relief Efforts By Matching Employee Donations
Contributions to American Red Cross Coming from Company, Employees and Clients
Monterey, Calif. (PRWEB) January 16, 2010 -- Capital Insurance Group (CIG), the Western-region property &
liability insurer, is matching dollar for dollar employee donations to the American Red Cross for Haiti earthquake
“We were all shocked and alarmed at the devastating effect of the earthquake that struck Haiti last Tuesday,” said

CIG wanted to support those efforts through an employee matching fund.”
“We are encouraging our clients, agents, and employees to give to the Red Cross. The best way to help is to make
a donation through their International Response Fund, so that’s what we’re encouraging everyone who can to do.”
According to news reports, the catastrophic earthquake that shook Haiti on January 12, 2010, was the largest ever
recorded in the area, affecting as many as 3 million people and causing large-scale damage to area hospitals. It
had a preliminary magnitude of 7.1 with a depth of five miles.
Donations to the Red Cross can be made at www.redcross.org, by calling 1-800-REDCROSS, texting “Haiti” to
90999, or by sending a $10 donation to the Red Cross.
