QUINCY MEDICAL CENTER
2006 Honor Roll of Donors
Dear Friends and Supporters:
It is a pleasure to recognize and thank the hundreds of donors who contributed
to Quincy Medical Center (QMC) last year. More than 1,000 donors made
1,633 gifts totaling $480,226 in 2006.
We are grateful for this generous support and proud to recognize those donors
who made gifts of $50 or more in our 2006 Honor Roll of Donors. Space
does not permit including the names of donors of lesser amounts, however we
want you to know that every gift, no matter the size, is valued by the hospital
and supports QMC’s mission of improving the health and quality of life in
our community by providing Tomorrow’s Care Today.
We are fortunate to have the support of so many individuals, organizations,
corporations and foundations who understand and value the hospital’s
importance to the communities we serve and the life-saving work we do each
and every day. By providing warm, compassionate care while maintaining
the highest standards of quality, safety, and risk prevention, Quincy Medical
Center has earned your support.
Since 1999, Quincy Medical Center has consistently ranked among the top
community hospitals for quality care. In fact, the Joint Commission on
Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations awarded QMC its Gold Seal of
Approval™ following its last two tri-annual reviews. And, QMC’s Cancer Care Program achieved
a #1 rating from the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer, placing it among
the top one-third of cancer programs nationwide.
It is especially gratifying to acknowledge donors to the QMC Cancer Walk and the 17th Annual
Golf Classic. More than $130,000 was raised from the Walk, and $184,000 was raised from the
Classic. These special fundraisers have become signature events on the South Shore as evidenced by
the thousands of people who participate each year. Additionally, annual giving increased through
direct mail appeals that generated $68,982 from 648 gifts, an increase of 67% and 39% respectively.
We are extremely gratefu
