Beginning in the hills south of Binghamton and
rolling into the mountains of Harpursville, this
jaunt along the Chenango River can be as laid
back or adventurous as you make it. Stop by the Cutler Botanic
Garden in Binghamton for a relaxing stroll through the garden
or head up to Pleasant Hill Stables in Port Crane for an after-
noon of horseback riding (riding lessons available!).
This scenic escape along Route 79 promises a
beautiful country drive along the Susquehanna
River. As you travel the river valley you’ll pass
through quaint, historic villages as well as bucolic farm comm-
unities. Children are delighted to see the grazing farm animals
that dot this picturesque landscape!
The views and vistas created by the forested
hills of Vestal are simply captivating as you tour
through Broome County on Route 26. Let your
senses come alive as you listen to the silent serenity of nature,
gaze upon the majesty of the mountains and smell the crisp
clean air. Feel the rejuvenating energy of the earth as you
go apple or berry picking, and taste the delicious local fare
at our farmers’ markets!
