Incentives to
be GreenSmart and
own your own home
The Cat Sterilisation Society will
offer low cost de-sexing of your
cat if you are on a low income or
are a concession or pension card
holder.
Uncontrolled cats mating and
fighting at night are a major
source of noise complaint from
neighbours and unsterilized cats
mark their territory by spraying on
doorways creating an unpleasant
odour.
Your cat will be a healthier, more
companiable pet when de-sexed,
less inclined to wander, get into
fights or be killed on the road.
It is a myth that a female cat
needs a first litter to “settle it
down” and a first litter is the main
source of cat overpopulation.
Seven out of 10 kittens are
destroyed and many are left to
fend for themselves, adding to
the feral cat population, which
is growing each year. Kittens of
both sexes need to be sterilised at
approximately five months of age.
So do the best thing for your cat
and the environment and sterilise
now!
