Coupa Software Announces Fall Release of Coupa e-Procureme
Features a new user experience based on answering "What do you need?" with
that delivers all the answers.
10.09.2009 – Coupa Software Inc., developer of on-demand e-procurement software
that helps companies control spending and generate savings, today announced the
general availability of its October 2009 release, the company's fourth product release
this year.
The new release features an improved homepage design that places important
user-specific information at the employees' fingertips the moment they log into the
system - including open "To Do" items like requisitions that need to be reviewed or
requisitions awaiting buyer action, status of recent orders, and a chart that graphs
spending for the selected period against budgets controlled by the user.
In addition, Coupa's Fall 2009 release adds prominence to Coupa's powerful
search feature, and entices users with a large search box that prompts "What do you
need?" Employees can type in their request, and the system will return all relevant
catalog items, company buying policies, web forms (i.e. standardize forms for
temporary labor or vacation requests), supplier punchout sites; and, completely
unique to Coupa, a list of results from across the internet for the desired item. Using
Coupa's iRequest feature, employees can add then add one of those items to their
Coupa shopping cart, and submit them through the normal requisition and approval
process, potentially saving the company thousands of dollars by identifying cost
savings opportunities at the point of origination for the request.
Another major enhancement in the Fall 2009 release includes new features to
support the extensibility of customization of the application. The Fall 2009 release
features a new drag-and-drop editor to add or modify custom fields across the
system. Users can customize requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, receipts,
suppliers, users, items, contracts, departments and commodities.
