You are Invited
to tour area businesses that
are generating energy or using
it efficiently to lower costs,
protect natural resources, and
strengthen the local economy.
Participants can experience the
tour in two ways:
Drive or carpool to the sites on
the tour that interest you most.
Each site will give a guided tour
every 20-30 minutes
or have an open
house format. This
option is free &
registration is not
required.

Board a bus to visit five select sites
with a UW-Extension educator. Cost
is $10 & includes
information packet,
visit to Vir-Clar Farm’s
manure digester (bus
only), and a free cup
of Culver’s custard.
Pre-paid registration is
required; capacity is
limited.

Guided Bus Tour
Sites A, D, E, & G will have guided tours every 30 minutes starting at 3pm. Sites B, C, F, & H will have an open house format.
A) Nett Land & Development, Inc. (Cty Rd. H &
Pheasant Run): Tour Pheasant Run Subdivision, one of
the county’s only conservation-design housing
developments. With slightly smaller lots &
shared open space, the concept offers
municipalities & residents more green
space.
B) Dr. Orvis Johnson Dental Clinic
(825 Prospect Ave., North FdL): View
this pioneering DIY active solar system.
Outside a prairie catches storm water
runoff and trees strategically insulate
the building.
