Global Policy and Education Experience Brings New Dimension to Eleutian Technology; Executive Team to
Focus on Bringing the World to Wyoming

CODY, Wyo.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Eleutian Technology, a leading provider of online English
education to students in Asia, today announced it has named Josef Merrill as SVP, Business Development. Merrill's
significant experience brings additional expertise to the executive team allowing the company to further pioneer online
English instruction.
Merrill comes to Eleutian from Apollo Global, a joint venture between the Apollo Group (Nasdaq: APOL) and the
Carlyle Group that invests in and manages a network of private educational institutions around the world. Prior to
working with the Apollo Group, Merrill directed international mergers and acquisitions in Korea, China and the U.S.
while at John Deere (NYSE: DE). Earlier in his career, Merrill spent several years with the U.S. State Department as
a diplomat with assignments that included Washington, DC; Sarajevo, Bosnia; Abuja, Nigeria; and Seoul, Korea.

Eleutian Technology offers online English education to students around the world through one-on-one and group
video sessions with native English-speaking instructors based in Wyoming. Beyond their required U.S. certification,
Eleutian’s teachers must complete a rigorous 30+ hour training course focused on methods for teaching English as a
second language.
