Gross Fundraising Goal for Event is $23,000
Committee: Procurement Committee
Suggested Weekly Hourly Commitment: Lead: 1.5 hours/week;
Team: 1 hour/week
(From 11/1- 11/20 – Lead: 2-3 hours/week; Team: 1.5-2.5 hours/week)
Overall Goal: Net $12K through live and silent auction, grab bag and wine pull
(need to have a goal of $28,000 in fair market value to generate this amount)
Description: This committee will consist of at least 9 persons and a leader. This
will include the Classroom Liaison, who will work with each classroom art project
leader. They will actively solicit past silent auction item donors, seeking to retain
their philanthropy and increase donation size where possible. They will also
seek out other sources of auction items through their own networks.
Coordinating their efforts with the sponsorship committee and audience
development committee, this group will ensure the auction offering are in keeping
with the “Imagine the Possibilities” theme and attendee interests. The Auction
Committee lead will also be required to attend auction meetings with the paid
auctioneer from time to time.
Using a detailed form, this committee will collect data on items and donors which
will be used to update the Auctionpay system (or whatever auction software we
use).. This committee will be responsible for packaging items and setting bid
structure for each. They will design a strategy for displaying items on the night of
the auction as well as provide tantalizing descriptions for the auction catalog.
Timeline:
Note: Financial goals for this committee are calculated as follows:
(Item’s Fair Market Value) X (43%) = Auction Revenue
May:
• Committee lead is identified and forms team, assigning members goals
based on the above.
• Procurement mailing sent out for smaller silent auction items.
o All items will be received by Procurement committee and housed in
PSS office
