Squadron 291 News:
For those who missed the November General Membership meeting, you missed a hell of a
meeting. The new Post 292 Blackies shirts came in and went flying out like hot cakes.
There are more Blackies shirts available at $15 each and will be sold on a first come first
serve basis. The shirts were printed by our very own Les Hunt and designed by our very
own Pete "the Pirate" Carolan. The picture is attached for your jealous pleasure. Get
them while they're hot.
Another tidbit at the November meeting was a presentation to the Squadron by 2007 SAL
Member of the Year Fred Arnold who presented the Squadron with a "thank you" letter
for our support of the 4 annual Injured Marine Golf Benefit in which he presented the
Squadron with a framed 1st hole sign for the Squadron. This event raised $46,000 for
the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund benefitting our wounded warriors.
Another presentation was made to the Squadron by American Legion Commander Steve
Spriggs who found the Squadron charter beneath the kitchen grease trap or parts
unknown. Thank you Steve for continuing to take care of the Squadron, your help and
support is sincerely appreciated.
