is the capital city of Scotland, a position it has held since
1437. It is the seventh largest city in the United Kingdom
and the second largest Scottish city, after Glasgow. The
City of Edinburgh Council is one of Scotland’s 32 local
government council areas.
Located in the south-east of Scotland, Edinburgh lies
on the east coast of the Central Belt, along the Firth of
