INDIA and Pakistan have plenty to be
proud of as they both celebrate their In-
dependence Days this week.
EE highlights the achievements of
both countries 62 years after they gained
their freedom.
We pay tribute to Pakistan’s contribu-
tion to the arts and fashion, and salute
pioneers such as Benazir Bhutto, and
businessmen including Sir Anwar Pervez.
India’s vibrant democracy, Mahatma
Gandhi, Bollywood and fiction writing
have inspired many around the world.
There have been huge successes in the
sporting arena too, on the cricket field,
hockey pitch and in racquet sports.
