Chicken Coop Plans For The
Handyman
by
Beth O'Neil
Is there a chicken coop somewhere in your immediate
future? Then you will want to think about getting some
quality chicken coop plans.
Why? Well, for starters building a chicken coop isn't hard,
but there are many things you need to consider and avoid
when you start construction. Plans make all of this easier.
They also help you build for the correct amount of
chickens. You see, each hen needs at least 3 sq. ft. of
living space inside of the coop to be happy. Bear in mind
that this is the absolute minimum, if you have the option,

means that your nesting boxes should not be in
direct sunlight.

doesn't get too drafty. On the other hand, ammonia and
carbon dioxide can be a danger if it is allowed to build up
in the coop. That is why you need to invest a little effort
and make use of chicken coop plans. They will show you
how to properly ventilate your coop for the ideal
conditions.
Another reason why chicken coop plans will be so
valuable when you build the house yourself is because
