AUSTRALIAN ALTRUIST DUNCAN SCHIEB COMING TO YOUR TOWN SOON AS PART OF HIS
4,000-MILE DRIVE ACROSS USA TO RAISE FUNDS TO HELP CURE JUVENILE DIABETES
Sponsors have created a “Scavenger Hunt” and sending off-the-wall requests for Duncan to collect and perform
dares including eating a “double double animal style” at In-and-Out Burger, collecting a “Steak and a Shake
paper hat, being photographed in front of every Dunkin Donuts he passes, as well as photographed with a real
Elvis impersonator in both Vegas and Graceland!
WHO: Australian Duncan Schieb, a 34 year-old real estate investment advisor from Coonamble, a

Duncan also hosts a community radio show in Australia and is a GREAT interviewee. He is

USA, your town, his experiences in this new country in general and most importantly to help
drum up awareness about Juvenile Diabetes.
WHAT: As a native Australian, Duncan has always wanted to see the USA from coast-to-coast and when
the opportunity to do so arose, he decided that it was a great opportunity to help benefit a
worthy cause in the process. So, on April 12 2010, Duncan will embark on a 4000+ mile journey
across the United States from Los Angeles to New York City to raise money to help fund research
through the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

just one week, has raised over $4,000US for the cause; 40% of his $10,000US goal. He will be
constantly documenting his drive as well as answering funder’s challenges by leveraging social
