Castrol Molub-Alloy ICO Oils
Castrol Molub-Alloy ICO Oils are multiservice chain lubricants designed for
use in a variety of plant-wide general applications, ICO Oils are especially
recommended where service temperatures are moderately high (204°C/400°F).
Castrol Molub-Alloy ICO Oils are available in 2 grades: medium and heavy to
suit a wide variety of application viscosity requirements.
Castrol Molub-Alloy ICO Oils are developed from special blends of selected
oils for use at elevated temperature, up to 400°F. Castrol Molub-Alloy ICO
Oils minimize residue formation and maintain Castrol Molub-Alloy lubricating
solids in a very stable dispersion.
Metallic lubricating solids of suitable grade are treated to increase their natural
positive affinity to metal surfaces and are completely dispersed to assure
effectiveness during the full working life of these lubricants.
Rust and oxidation inhibiting characteristics are maximized to afford effective
rust protection and maximum life of the oil.
Special formulation assures thorough lubrication at elevated temperatures, yet
gives protection from lubricant and contaminant build-up on the chain.
Antiwear properties are derived from Castrol Molub-Alloy's formulation which is
noncorrosive to all ferrous and nonferrous metals.
Typical applications are conveyor chains, lithograph ovens, paint ovens and
high temperature chain applications.
Application of Castrol Molub-Alloy ICO Oils may be achieved by drip, brush,
spray, or automatic lubrication systems.
Castrol Molub-Alloy ICO Medium is for generally high temperature chain
applications, and should be applied at the coolest part of the chain, thoroughly
wetting the chain during the initial clean-up period. Thereafter, establish a lube
cycle suitable to operating conditions.
