The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) will hold a Public Workshop to discuss
the potential extension of Saulsbury Road in a southerly direction from its intersection with
North Street. The third public workshop for this project, also known as West Dover
Connector, will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the Modern Maturity Center, East
Longwood Ballroom, 1121 Forrest Avenue (Rt. 8), Dover, DE. Interested members of the
public are invited to attend at any time between 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
At the workshop the public will be able to review and discuss the West Dover Connector
alternatives retained for detailed study. Information will be available on next steps and how the
public can stay involved as this project moves forward.
The retained alternatives have the potential to affect environmental, historic and/or
archeological, community and other resources. The Department’s detailed studies will be
evaluating impacts on these resources, including opportunities for avoidance, minimization and
