American Modern Taps into TV, Web to Promote

CINCINNATI--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--American Modern Insurance Group will launch a targeted TV
advertising campaign starting July 2 to increase consumer awareness of its specialty boat insurance products among
The commercials will air on “Stihl’s Reel in the Outdoors with Joe Thomas” on Outdoor Channel. American Modern
has partnered with United Marine Underwriters, an independent marine specialty insurance agent, in a multi-media
test of non-network TV and the Web to build brand awareness for American Modern and generate new customers
for United Marine.

president of United Marine Underwriters. “United Marine and American Modern share a common goal of being the

One of American Modern’s TV spots features Joe Thomas, a national celebrity in the professional angling
community, author and outdoor television host. Thomas explains the advantages of obtaining boat insurance through
companies that specialize in boats--such as American Modern and United Marine--and encourages viewers to call

“When you go out on a new lake you usually take an expert to show you around,” Thomas said. “American Modern

“Stihl’s Reel in the Outdoors with Joe Thomas” is an outdoor program that is available in over 34 million households.
The American Modern commercials will air on Outdoor Channel, July 2 through December 31 on Fridays at 6 a.m.
