BioCosmetic Center Cites Conclusions that Women Undergo Cosmetic
Procedures More Often Men
BioCosmetic Center cites findings concluding that women undergo cosmetic procedures more
often than men.
Phoenix, AZ (Vocus) March 20, 2010 -- BioCosmetic Center cites findings concluding that women undergo
cosmetic procedures more often than men. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The American Society
for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery agree.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons found that of 8.79 million cosmetic procedures completed in the year
2003, 7.4 million were completed for female patients. 1.2 million cosmetic procedures were completed for men.
According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery statistics over 90% of all cosmetic procedures
completed in 2009 were for women (over 9 million total).
Erin Jantze of BioCosmetic Center responds, “The traditional stereotype that cosmetic procedures are only for
women is dead wrong. We have a lot of men come in that benefit drastically from a variety of cosmetic
procedures. But that doesn’t mean that the traditional stereotype is unfounded. The majority of patients are still
female, but we are seeing more and more men interested in procedures such as liposuction, laser hair removal,
acne scar removal, even wrinkle removal procedures.”
BioCosmetic Center offers all inclusive, personalized programs to aid individuals in obtaining their physical and
emotional goals. Programs can include any of the following: liposuction, botox, weight loss, scar removal,
bio-identical hormones, dermal fillers, acne treatment, laser hair removal, etc.
