Stepping Back
“I’m doing a Bible study with your landlord’s cousin.” Art
(our co-worker) told Phil. Sometimes, Gaston is even
hanging around when they do the study. He has also
asked some interesting questions which demonstrate
that he is contemplating spiritual things. We feel that
this is no coincidence but just another link in the chain
that God can use to bring Gaston and Lupita’s family
to personal relationships with Him.
In May, we had the privilege of witnessing the baptism of
Gaston’s cousin, his spouse and another couple related
to them. This was also the 2nd baptism in the space of
about a month which is also very exciting. It has been so
energizing to see Abel & Wendy, Pedro & Yudith growing
in their faith, wanting to know more and looking for ways
to serve. Pattie had the privilege getting know the
ladies better a few weeks ago when they (along with
about 12 others) attended a conference at our sister
church in Cabo San Lucas on being equipped for ministry
to children.
“I spoke with Rosario last night when she came forward
after the service. She understood the Gospel and
prayed to receive Christ in her heart.” Alejandra, one of
the youth leaders in La Paz, told Pattie during the
youth retreat held at another TEAM church plant in La
Paz over Semana Santa (Easter Week). If you recall,
this is the same young lady we mentioned in our last
letter who was asking lots of questions and showing an
