THURSDAY:
Cabbage Stew, rice & beetroot salad.
FRIDAY:
Pap & boerewors with tomato & onion sauce.
SATURDAY: Hamburgers & chips.
SUNDAY: Filled chicken, baked potatoes & pumpkin.
WEEK 2
MONDAY:
Fish fingers, mash & beansalad.
THUESDAY: Tomato stew & green beans.
WEDNESDAY: Spaghetti bolognaise.
THURSDAY: Chinese stirfry.
FRIDAY:
Filled pancakes with savoury mince & greated cheese.
SATURDAY:
Fish, chips & green salad.
SUNDAY:
Meatballs, mash & coleslaw.
WEEK 3
MONDAY:
Steak, kidney, rice & green salad.
TUESDAY: Bean soup.
WEDNESDAY: Chicken ala’ king.
THURSDAY:
Tuna noodle bake & green salad.
FRIDAY:
Tomato stew & rice.
SATURDAY: Bunny chow with bean & pineapple salad.
SUNDAY:
Fried chicken, baked potatoes, sweet carrots &
broccoli.

MONDAY: Fish cakes, mash & rice salad.
TUESDAY: Green beans stew & rice.
WEDNESDAY: Scottish pie.
THURSDAY: Pork chops, mash & peas.
FRIDAY:
Boerewors rolls, tomato & secret onion sauce.
SATURDAY:
Chicken barbeque, potato salad & garlic bread.
SUNDAY: Currie, yellow rice & banana salad.
WATERBLOMMETJIE STEW
OIL
1 ONION
1 KG STEWING BEEF (short rib/chuck)
2 TOMATOES (diced)
1gk WATERBLOMMETJIES
¼ PACKET MINESTRONE SOUP POWDER(mixed with ½ cup water)
2 CUPS WATER
SALT & PEPPER TO TASTE
METHOD:
FRY THE ONION IN OIL TILL GOLDEN BROWN. ADD THE BEEF AND FRY TILL
BROWN. ADD WATER, POTATOES, TOMATOES, SALT & PEPPER TO TASTE.
COOK ON LOW HEAT FOR 1 HOUR. MIX SOUP POWDER WITH ½ CUP OF
WATER, ADD TO THE STEW & SIMMER FOR ANOTHER 10 MIN. SERVE ON
RICE.
