Title: \"Comparing Texas Intstrument Calculators\"
When it comes to comparing two Graphing Calculators, the TI-83 and the TI-
84, it is almost impossible to dispute the fact that they have many things in common. The key strokes for the
different types of functions are absolutely
identical, and any other differences between the two calculators are extremely small. The only real, obvious
distinction between them is the fact that the
TI-84 is newer, sleeker, and has significantly more accessories than the TI-83.
TI-83
The TI-83 was created by Texas Instruments, and served as an upgraded replacement calculator to the one before
it, known as the TI-82. This is one of the
most widely utilized calculators by students around the world. Not only does it have all of the same functions as
any other type of graphing calculator, but
the ti 83 also has a large amount of additional features, such
as the ability to graph functions, polar, parametric, and sequence graphing modes, statistics, and a mode for
trigonometric and algebraic equations. Although
it doesn't include as many features and accessories for calculas, you can download extra applications and
programs from various sites to load on there, or,
if you know how to, you can code them into the calculator yourself!
Texas Instruments decided to replace the TI-
83 graphing calculator with the TI-83 Plus in 1999. The TI-83 Plus included the accessory of Flash memory,
which allowed this specific calculator to be
updated, and also enabled it to store large Flash Applications on the device and in the memory. It is possible to
also use the Flash memory application to
store programs and other applications, just like normal memory. Eventually, in 2001, they came out with another
version or upgrade, the TI-83 Plus Silver
Edition, which had approximately nine times the amount of Flash Memory than the TI-83 Plus did, and also had
over twice the processing speed.
TI-84
The TI-84 Plus is also another graphing calculator that was designed by Texas Instruments
