New Group to Focus on Health Care Policy and Health Care IT Consulting

& Relations (SPR) Group to help clients lead in the new age of HITECH Act provisions and new health
information and health care themes through high quality consulting services. Cogon has added Eric Klos and
Nandan Kenkeremath to its senior management as Co-Managing Principals of the SPR Group and Cogon’s Vice
President of Marketing and Vice President of Strategy, Policy & Relations, respectively.
After more than twelve years on Capitol Hill, three with the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, Eric has
demonstrated successful strategic planning, business development, marketing, government and public relations
over a ten year career in the government contracting community and gained comprehensive knowledge,
experience, and expertise of the Public Sector Health market and, broadly, the healthcare IT market.
Nandan has over 25 years of Federal policy experience, most recently, as a Senior Counsel for the House
Committee on Energy and Commerce where he served for 17 years. For the last 12 years he has focused on health
care policy including health information technology, privacy, the HITECH Act, health care and health insurance
reform, the Sentinel Initiative and drug safety, collaborative research platforms, comparative effectiveness,
payment policies, and a variety of cutting edge health care policy issues.
