First Aid Measures
Oral Ingestion: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! Drink plenty of water or milk. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person. Get immediate medical attention.
NOTE FOR PHYSICIAN: For ingestion cases, gastric lavage with a soluble starch or protein solution will
remove iodine from stomach. Further treatment may consist of correcting fluid and electrolyte imbalance.
