T he soccer squad of the Liberian Association of
Indiana was the proud winner of the Flag Day
Soccer Tournament held in Columbus, Ohio on Satur-
day, August 26, 2006. The tournament was organ-
ized and sponsored by the owner of the Columbus
based Driving School, Mr. Sunny Bryant. The event
was held in observance of Liberia's 159th Flag Day

Columbus Soccer Team against Indiana.
Long before the game started, Indiana was consid-

half by Augustine Kambieh and Fallah Banebela were
enough to send a signal that we were out for serious
business. The first half ended 2 goals to 1 in favor of
Indiana. Shortly upon the resumption of the second
half, Augustine Kambieh, once again scored a third
goal to the disbelief of many fans who were there to
cheer the hometown favorite. The Columbus team
scored a second goal at the 75th minute mark, but
the aggressive play of the midfielders (Phillip,

forward Johnny, of Indiana, led to goal number four
(4) by Rachard Mckay “R.M” of Indiana. Even the
heavy downpour of rain could not stop the beautiful
goal scored by upcoming star “R.M.”. After a full 90
minutes of play, the final score stood at 4-2 in favor
of Indiana. The opposing teams attempts at scoring
were thwarted by the magical hands of Manjah Skay
Massaley II, demonstrating his strong goal keeping
skills.
A trophy was presented to the team captain Saa
Samba who thanked the sponsor and organizer of
the tournament for hosting the event. An additional
prize of $100 dollars was presented to the winning
