was revealed last night at a gala awards ceremony at the exclusive InformationWeek 500 Conference taking place at
the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort, Dana Point, CA.

A petrochemical leader with a vast and complex IT infrastructure turned to CompuCom for the Integrated
Infrastructure Management (IIM™) solution that includes the value-added application packaging service. The
company’s desktop environment grew over the years to include more than 7,000 workstations at 130 locations and
at least 40 computer models, multiple operating systems and thousands of software applications. This lack of a
single, standardized platform resulted in delays and higher costs for software deployment. Also the company’s
decentralized help desk operations, supporting multiple versions of many applications and various standards, led to
cost overruns, duplication and an inflated ratio of support technicians to PCs.
