The Family and Community Health Sciences Department (FCHS),
Rutgers Cooperative Extension (RCE) along with the newly
established New Jersey Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health is
sponsoring the 11th Annual Children’s Health Summit: Fighting
Back Against Childhood Obesity, with a focus on understanding
and preventing overweight and obesity in children and youth.
This one day conference will address strategies and approaches
regarding healthy eating and physical activity in children and youth,
and will emphasize the importance of “starting early” by increasing
awareness and understanding of the connection between the
environment, policy and health.
