EchoSat SPG Adds Cellular Wireless to Service Lineup
SPG Customers rollout super fast cell-based SPG service at C-Store POS & ATMs
Lexington, KY (PRWEB) March 4, 2010 -- EchoSat® Communications Group, a division of Tower
Communications Group, announced the launch of SPG-Wireless, a new cellular wireless service option for their
SPG line of high-speed Internet communications services. EchoSat SPG (Secure Payment Gateway) delivers
high-speed POS transaction transport services over standard Internet and wireless connectivity to c-stores, ATM
dealers, grocers and other retailers.
An exceptionally reliable automatic dial backup is one of the many compelling features of the industry-leading
SPG service. Now SPG customers can add-on cellular backup to enable automatic roll-over to wireless POS
transport in the event of a local Internet or landline outage to keep sites processing transactions at optimal speeds.
The new SPG-Wireless service delivers transactions over an amazingly fast wireless connection that is fully PCI
compliant. SPG-Wireless backup is now an orderable option at the EchoSat website. Existing EchoSat customers
can contact the SPG sales team for information about upgrading their current SPG stores to the new SPG-Wireless
services.
Spencer Rutherford, President of EchoSat SPG, indicated “The entire SPG team is very excited about the new
SPG-Wireless backup option. Our customers can now achieve high-speed transactions at all times, regardless of
whether they are processing on their primary DSL or cable circuit, or through the wireless failover connection.
SPG-Wireless backup transaction speeds are just as fast as DSL and cable. For busy operations, or in stores that
have digital phone lines, SPG-Wireless provides customers with a faster alternative to legacy dial backup
technology.”
